Zoo City got a sneaky surprise cameo for oh at least ten seconds on the darkly brilliant comedy show Louie (episode 4, season 3) during one of sweetest and most awkward romantic scenes ever, when the eponymous hero asks deadly cute bookstore employee, Parker Posey, out on a date.
I like how it’s sticking out, just slightly, as if it’s about to do a Ghostbusters Library Scene on his head.
The scene was filmed in The Community Bookstore in Park Slope, Brooklyn, which I happened to visit a lot when I lived in New York in 2000/2001.
Random happy surprises of the universe make me happy.
