Piñata-palooza (or the gruesome murder of Moxy)

We celebrated the UK launch of Moxyland, in keeping with the theme of the book, with much loathsome violence and mayhem. A cake cunningly shaped like a book was brutally stabbed to death. And many glasses of champagne were consumed with gusto.

And then we gathered round to club to death an adorable Moxy piñata. We bashed out its candy brains, ripped off an ear, knocked out an eye and crushed its bones (er, papier mache), spilling red ribbon intestines as well as sweets, scorpions, spiders and skulls. It was glorious.
